Q What is the voter registration deadline?
A Your application must be received in the Voter Registrar’s office or postmarked at least 30 days before an election in order to be eligible to vote in that election. Find your Voter Registrar by County

  • At your county Voter Registrar's office
    (In most Texas counties, the Tax Assessor-Collector is also the Voter Registrar. In some counties, the County Clerk or Elections Administrator registers voters.)
  • At the Department of Public Safety when applying for or making changes to a Driver License
Q Where do I vote?
A If your county has supplied the Secretary of State with its polling place information, you can find it at the county Voter Registrar page. Visit Texas Secretary of State’s VoteTexas.gov website to learn more about where to vote.
Q Who is my representative?
A Visit the Texas Legislature Online “Who Represents Me” page to identify your representatives by entering your address.
Q Can I update my voter registration information online?
A You may file a name and/or address change on your Voter Registration card though the Voter Registration Name and Address Change application. Please note that you may only use this service if your new address is in the same county where you are currently registered.
